I am a strategic further education consultant and senior education leader with over 20 years’ experience across colleges, adult learning, academy trusts, national education organisations and sector-wide consultancy. I specialise in curriculum development, digital strategy & innovation, learning technology, quality improvement and employer-led skills development.
I have held senior roles including Programme Director, Learning Technologies Officer, Assistant Principal, Chief Executive Officer and Non-Executive Director. My experience includes leading curriculum areas and support teams, managing significant income streams, supporting inspection activity, developing digital strategies and improving teaching, learning and assessment with learning technology.

Since January 2020, I have been a freelance consultant and have engaged in a series of projects for further, higher and adult education and training providers. This includes a supporting FE colleges in number of interim senior leadership roles including Assistant Principal, Curriculum Manager and Director of Digital Technical Excellence College.

I have successful previous experience as a Non-Executive Director for charity and education. I currently serve as an advisor for Skills England.

Interim Director of DigiTEC and Senior Project Manager
Leading the delivery plan, operational mobilisation, managing revenue spend and representing college as PMO for capital projects.
Included writing strategic and operating plan, recruitment of team, writing capital bids (to £5M) and succession planning.
UAE Sector Skills Expert (Digital Skills)
Project for international education charity to provide strategic advisory and support to define UAE digital skills agenda for 2030.
Curriculum Designer: Gigafactory Battery Manufacturing
Co-designed and developed L2 qualification and industry workforce development programme for a Gigafactory environment.
Curriculum Developer: Emerging Technology & IoT
Designed and co-authored qualifications for emerging technologies and IoT - included developing fully-ready SCORM content.
FE Consultant (AI & Emerging Technologies)
Led an organisational review with senior leaders across a large FE college group for AI and emerging technologies to drive
innovation, growth and opportunities.
Interim Digital Curriculum Manager
Leading a large adult education computing and digital team to deliver AWS, Code Institute and other programmes from Level 1 to 5.
Curriculum Consultant: Assistive Technology for Care
Authored, designed and developed an Ofqual approved Level 5 qualification in Assistive Technology for H&SC.
Led the design and development of an assistive technology and digital skills curriculum for H&SC as part of LSIF project
Curriculum Auditor: Computing & IT
Delivered computing curriculum and quality audit review for one of the UK's largest adult education providers.
Curriculum Developer: FE / NESTA / IGL Project
Led the design and development of a online design thinking toolkit and curriculum programme for EEP.
Curriculum Consultant: Higher Technical Qualifications
Worked with an FE college to design and implement higher technical qualification (HTQ) in Computing for Cyber Security.
FE Consultant: Computing (Sixth Form)
Completed a strategic review of computing/IT provision for a large sixth form college offering academic and vocational education.
Curriculum Developer: SDF Project
Designed and developed cyber security L2 programmes which were accredited by the BCS and supported implementation of drone
technology.
Interim Director of ILT / Digital Transformation & Skills
Working with VP to restructure and develop the digital transformation team following Covid-19 pandemic. Including introduction
of a student portal with Microsoft 365 and developing service level agreements for digital and ILT resources.
Bid Writer: SDF, CCF & LSIF
Secured significant capital and revenue funding by co-authoring successful bids for the SDF, CCF and LSIF projects up to 5M.
Interim Assistant Principal (Learning Technologies & Development)
I led work on the ILT strategy and Microsoft 365 during Covid-19 to improve quality of online teaching and learning. This role involved
temporary supporting the leadership team until the VP Quality and Innovation was recruited. I also led a transition to FE programme.
From Strategy to Delivery
My approach combines strategic thinking with practical delivery. I work alongside your team to understand the challenge, develop the right approach and help turn recommendations into something that can actually be implemented.
Depending on the assignment, that might mean providing independent advice, developing a strategy, designing a new programme, facilitating workshops, creating solutions or supporting mobilisation and implementation.
